FASHION THAT GIVES BACK
Happy Tuesday Ladies! I'm off to my first day of work for the school year and I'm very excited to get back into a routine and be around some other adults! But, first I wanted to pop in and share two charitable brands with you that I recently discovered and have been loving.
CLOTHING THAT GIVES BACK
The first brand is one that I found on Instagram, while scrolling through hashtags. The brand is called KIKOTI which stands for Keeping It Kind On The Inside. They make super cute tops with messages of kindness and thankfulness. And every piece bought helps to donate a Backpack to a kid that can not afford one. JEWELRY THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
The second brand is a jewelry company made and sold by The Starfish Project. The Starfish Project aims to free, educate and empower women who have been victims of abuse, neglect and trafficking.
It all started with the founder, Jenny McGee bringing gifts to local Massage Parlours (that were also brothels) to befriend the women who worked there. Through time she began organizing english classes for them, then giving them shelter, food and employment.
Now the Starfish Project has empowered over 100 women and helped thousands in their community. And you can be a part of it, by donating to their fund or simply buying a piece of jewelry that is handcrafted by one of the very women you seek to help.
